In 2006-2007, a youth movie series shot by the company including the movies “Çılgın Dersane” (Mad Classroom) and “Çılgın Dersane Kampta”(Mad Classroom in Camp) met the audience.
In pursuit of that series “Avanak Kuzenler”(Noodle Cousins) and “Ayakta Kal” (Stay Up) has been shot.
As from 2008, the shootings of the movie series named “Recep İvedik” starring Şahan Gökbakar has started. This movie series would become a phenomenon in Turkey. The series met the audience as three movies and had great success in the box office.
The greatest success of Aksoy Film as a company adopts turning the gains from cinema into the investments in cinema as a principle, is “Fetih 1453” (Conquest 1453); the movie’s shooting has lasted 3 years, it has been mentioned most oftened with its giant budget and it has reached the highest audience number of all-time in Turkey sinema.

We need to make a written declaration as Aksoy Movie Company about the news which took place in our written and visual media that our movie of Fatah 1453 was banned in Lebanon. As all the public of our country knows, our movie is the most watched movie of our country and all the realities are reflected in our movie by taking all the sensitivities into consideration. The conquest of Istanbul is not only important with regards to our country's history but also a very important turning point for the world history. In fact, our movie formed a basis for many discussions with the release of the fragment of our movie before it's released.
After its preview in European countries, it released in all the Middle East countries over the past few weeks and our premieres in Cairo and Dubai are welcomed with extraordinary interest. Our movie that is currently in theatres has reached a huge box office and became the most watched movie. This is a source of pride for our country, of course……
When we talk about the prohibition in Lebanon, I need to say that it was a big surprise for me as the producer of this movie. Lebanon is known as a country which includes different ethnic, religious and sectarian groups and where all these groups live in peace. At the same time, it's a country where there are no artistic restrictions of freedoms and it has high living standards, too. The majority of the population of this country is Muslim and it boasts of being the most modern and liberal country of the Arab World. However, while our movie that is entreating a real war in the history and has a high respect to all faiths is banned in Lebanon has not banned in any Christian European countries with primitive and heavy reasons. We strongly condemn this decision that is taken as a result of pressure of Christian Church in Lebanon and want to express again that we are away from all political and religious debates carried out on our movie. As a result of the incorrectness of this decision, I hope the required should be as soon as possible. I release to the public that I will take all steps at the public authorities of Lebanon and will share this topic and all news with the press of the Middle East and foreign press. -
Only six and a half million viewers in our country and breaking all records, reaching all municipalities throughout the month of Ramadan intensive organizations welcomed open-air cinema in 1453, and now we meet with our nation in DVD format. 1453 DVD release date of September 19 as previously explained. Intense reaction from the public on request, however, and decided to move forward by this date, 1453 DVDs, audiences will meet on August 15 as a holiday gift. Thank you once again in 1453, showed great interest in our nation.

FETİH 1453 HIT THE RECORD OF THE TOTAL AUDIENCE NUMBER IN TURKEY
TOTAL VIEWERS 6.532.259. God bless all people for coming, god bless your hearts. Endless thanks to our audiences.
Today, some web sites published news, claiming that sponsor of the Fetih 1453 sued producer of the movie. Because of these news we needed to make an explanation. First of all, according to statements of the sponsor, it is very clear that there is no law suits against our company. There is not even any information given us about this matter.
We pronounce that our company, before anything else, has always been very liable to it's legal responsibilities and acts according to requirements of our contracts. Also, schedule of these law suits, which appeared just after the air date of Fetih 1453, has very significant. In fact, it's a very good example for this adage: the tree giving fruit, get stoned. These law suits started after our movie gained great success and admiration, and this is also a significant fact.
We're leaving people who are trying to gain popularity with our movie, even me nor any of my actors were not around, to Allah and judgement of our people. And we want everybody know this: we are going to sue the sponsor company because of their baseless claims. We also use our legal rights against media organs which try to defame our company and movie, and publish these kind of news without giving us any answer right.
Kind regards
Faruk Aksoy,
Aksoy Film

IMDB Oylarıyla bizi bu noktaya taşıyan milletimize sonsuz teşekkür ediyoruz.
Dear valued FETİH 1453 audiences;
First of all, we thank you for the interest you have shown to our movie your with all our hearts.
I should express that your interest filled us with pride and gave hope to us in behalf of our cinema. Despite all the difficulties in the process of the movie’s production, we’ve never lost our confidence about adapting such a historical honour like Fatih the Conqueror and Conquest of Istanbul. We’ve tried to present you the best by using every means avaible, moral and meterial. We’ve used only our sources; except some contributions in kind, we did not take any financial support from any corporation. In fact, although we had the legal right to ask for support from Ministry of Culture Cinema Support Fund, we haven’t made an application. Withal, we transfered the highest amounts of money to this fund via the entertainment taxes of our box office champion movies and thus, we provided a lot of Turkish movies via this fund.
Personally, as a producer, I am proud of our history like everybody. The ones who let us live this pride are first and foremost our historical characters. Fatih the Conqueror is our source of pride in this sense. The Conquest of Istanbul is an incontestable fact that closed an age and opened a new one not for only our country, but for the world.
I want to underline that after our movie came out in theatres, we’ve evaluated all the critics as contributions. There are no movies or artworks which are uncriticizable. Every work is directly related to the admiration of the audiences. And I must say that I respect that. But we’ve seen that some reviews are unreal and based on misinformation and so an explanation is required. The reason for this explanation is our consideration to the audience supported us from the beginning. First of all, let it be known that this is a movie which built on our common pride and values and it is an adaptation of a subject that every producer dreams. I want to point out that we remain distant to the political and historical arguments on the movie. The meanings attributed are personal opinions. We respect these opinions but it is not right to attribute these opinions to us. Besides, an article which we think that was written without watching the movie and quoted from the other articles written in some virtual platforms, is a very actualising of the critism against us. If we respond those matters in that article within the frame of movie technic and production;
Some scenes such as the combustion or overthrown of the war towers, soldiers’ lifting the shields to prevent from arrows, actors’ bending back to avoid something coming towards to them and the slow motion shootings of such scenes (as a matter of fact, if this scene had been shot in normal speed, it would not be possible that the audience’s understanding the object coming towards the actor, but twaddling is twaddling) have been liken to the scenes of Hollywood movies with an extraordinary far-fetched comparison. We smilingly read these assertions and even went forward about these similarities. We didn’t quote from just 5-6 movies, we quoted from thousands of movies. Indeed, those movies have directors. Alas! We have a director... Those films have writers, uh, we have too... They made music for their movies. We did it too... etc, etc...
So, in a sense, we have to make this announcement because we have been accused of making plagiarism. Due to the respect we have for our audience we had to give the correct and necessary response to this beseless claim. After all, it is a clear fact that these kind of writings are the reflections of a serious lack of confidence. And this is exactly what we’re trying by making this film; to fight with this state of mind. We are proud of being a member of a nation who has self-confidence against those who claim an absurd analogy with inferiority complex.
As an institution creating a work, from the beginning, I’ve expressed that the appreciation comes from our nation. And people have revealed this discretion and gave the best answer by filling the movie theaters with their enthusiasn and acclamations. We are confident that they will continue to give.
In addition, I would like to state that the news about us preparing to make a tv series about Fatih the Conqueror and the conquest are not relevant with us, these rumours that you can read in media organs are not reflect the reality.
On the other hand, some media organs' claims that Fetih 1453 can't catch the box office of Recep ivedik 2, are not correct. That must be remembered, we are the producer of both movies and we have a position that we can make an obejective judgement. Recep İvedik 2 has a 112 minutes runtime and was shown five for a day and totally 15 times for whole weekend. But Fetih 1453 has 160 minutes runtime and was shown thursdays 3 times, other days 4, and whole weekend 15 times. Recep İvedik 2 has reached 70%, Fetih 1453 reached 80% occupancy rate. Finally, in equal session number, Recep İvedik 2 has gathered 1.209.453 and Fetih 1453 gathered 1.405.382 audience. In that case, Fetih 1453 unequivocally has made the best weekend opening in all times.
I, once again thank to anyone who shows the appreciation and critisim by WATCHING THE MOVIE and I express my eternal gratitude to this great interest.
